Innovation Management Program Manager
Description: General on IMS
- Knowledge and understanding on current requirements of standards, and how they differentiate from traditional MS,
- Understanding the innovation management principles
- Understanding applicable tools and methods
- Understanding the variables to consider for and IMS certification quotation,
- Ability to calculate the required audit duration,
- Identifying the main elements that shall be present in the Certification Audit Plan, audit report and audit program,
- Understanding auditor, and other personnel, competence needs
- Ability to launch the design and implementation an IMS certification scheme
Previous skills/knowledge:
- Although no previous skills or knowledge is necessary to this training, knowledge about the structure and content of ISO management system standards would be beneficial.
- Experience in developing or managing certification schemes is an asset.

Teaching requirements: Advanced knowledge and understanding of innovation management and applicable tools, gained through academic, research, development, consulting, auditing, implementation and/or management experience.
Objectives to achieve: To get the necessary knowledge and skills of:
- the purpose and requirements of an Innovation Management System (IMS), under a PDCA model approach
- the specificities of IMS certification activities, from client interface to issuing of the certificate and beyond,
- the benefits of IMS certification, notably regarding certified organizations abilities to understand and respond to their context, identify opportunities and to leverage knowledge and creativity within the organization and in collaboration with external stakeholders.
