Tomaž Gorenc

Tomaž Gorenc is an experienced sustainability and public health expert with over a decade of work at the intersection of environmental protection, climate policy, and health equity. He is the founder and director of the Institute for Health and Environment (IZO), where he leads projects focused on carbon footprinting, air quality monitoring, sustainable development, and education for climate resilience. Tomaž has coordinated and contributed to numerous national and EU-funded initiatives (Interreg, Erasmus+, Horizon), supporting public institutions and private clients in implementing DNSH (Do No Significant Harm) compliance and ESG strategies. As a certified Sustainability Management Expert, he brings interdisciplinary knowledge and a systemic approach to the process. He is also active in capacity building and non-formal education, regularly designing and delivering workshops, training, and public awareness campaigns.
